Local Talent up Front at Island Evening

**One night only**

On Saturday 25 April Polytoxic Dance Company will present Teuila Postcards, and local sensations Mutha Funktion and DJ Black President will perform at Casula Powerhouse from 7pm.

Set in Samoa, Teuila Postcards tells the story of three tourists who travel to a

fantasy island expecting an exotic holiday but instead get a lesson in history,

culture and movement.

Mutha Funktion and DJ Black President who will be performing on the night will

bring energetic and spirited performances to introduce the themes of the evening

Featuring talent from across the globe, including performers of Samoan, Tongan,

Maltese, Fijian, and Filipino heritage, the evening promises a smorgasbord of

music, dance and celebration.

"This is another example of the cultural diversity that is Liverpool," Said Mayor

WendyWaller.

"The Polytoxic Dance Company's performance will be complimented by local

musicians, demonstrating the abundance and quality of talent that we have at our

doorstep, this show should not be missed."

"Casula Powerhouse is a venue for the community; the performers on the night

showcase the best of Polynesian artists whose work is exciting, fresh and new.

It'll be a great night out," said the Mayor
