Okaioceanikart Gallery invites you!

fiji_indep_day_thumb.pngJoin us on 10th October to celebrate Fiji Independence Day at the Okaioceanikart Gallery.

The event will feature the artwork of several Fijian artists such as Jeke Lagi, Abraham Lagi and Mason Lee. Traditional barriers are being broken as they express their pain and their hope for a peaceful and prosperous future for Fiji.

It will be a great opportunity to network, view a fine selection of Pacific art and learn more about the future trade prospects in the creative industries.

Guest speaker will be Tarisi Vunidilo, a former Director of the Fiji Museum who has worked at Te Papa o Tongarewa and the Waikato Museum. Tarisi is the current the Programme Advisor for the Pacific Arts Development Team at Creative NZ in Auckland. She also runs a cultural website that connects Fijians around the world.

Friday 10th October 2008
12noon till 2pm
Okaioceanikart Gallery
65 Karangahape Road,
Central Auckland
