Pasifi-Kana AK09

yvette_bouquet.jpgPacific Greetings

okaioceanikart is excited to present 6 Pasifi-Kana artists from New Caledonia with works that celebrate the Siapo Association's 10 years of contemporary visual art making. These vibrant and diverse works open a window on every day life happenings and the never ending dialogues that dive in and out of New Caledonia's ocean boundaries and many different ethnicities.

Engage with the Melanesian and Polynesian mind games, reflective of today's cultures and the fascinating Kanak society. The show includes works on paper, paintings and sculptures from established artists of international standing as well as fresh new voices from Aotearoa's nearest neighbour. All works are for sale.

Add a Kanak art work to your Pacific collection! Siapo Association Artists: Yvette Bouquet, Steve Thomo, Patrice Kaikilekofe, Marie-Chanel Tamole, Ela To'omaga Kaikilekofe and Paula Gony Boi

Curated by Patrice Kaikilekofe, the Pasifi-Kana exhibition is proudly supported by the Regional Corporation of New Caledonia and okaioceanikart gallery.
