Cerisse Palalagi
Pacific Greetings from okaioceanikart gallery, the niu space for the art of Pacific people.

Join us Thursday 28th August 2008 6 - 8pm

For this month ‘Artists Toktok' hear Cerisse Palalagi (Niuean/Maori) BFA Elam, co artist of the Manu Dolls series on why she moved from greens to pinks and what colours she is working in now. Giles Peterson Curator of Pacificarts picks her as one of the ‘hot' niu talents on the Maori/Pacific visual arts scene today.  Cerisse has exhibited internationally since graduating in 2000.

Toktok Giles Peterson, of  Pacificarts  (lecturer and curator of significant recent Pacific exhibitions) talks with Cerisse about her recent and very different work -  and the influence of the Pago Pacific Arts Festival  on her new  works at okai.

View new works to our gallery by David Teata, Penny Howard and Tauvela Tamalelagi.
